Well this past weekend, my family and I decided to hit South Jersey. We've had the place for the past 20 years, my entire life, and might I add, it's a sweet little getaway. The weather was amazing and perfect for a parade. The Columbus Day parade in Seaside Heights. It was pretty entertaining, although the gaps in between acts/bands made it a little less appreciative. Instead of making it a 2 hour event it should have been cut down to at least an hour, in my opinion. Children became antsy and parents became frustrated. But on the positive note it was organized very well. The feast was larger than usual covering 2.5 streets. The food was absolutely amazing! I had the best beef kabob in years.
I saw some family. Shot some photos on the beach as well as the bay. Was offered a new zoom lens for my camera along with a tripod. Both brand new and from a reliable source. Hey! saves me loads. Especially since I'm currently unemployed.
Speaking of jobs. Has anyone noticed how difficult it is to get one? I've sent in 10+ applications and absolutely nothing. It's ridiculous. all they want is people with the "look" which I find to be unprofessional. Sure, if you are applying to a clothing store people are going to see your appearance and how you would show off their 'name brand'. but half the people, with the "look", hired LOOK like they hate their job. Some just apply to have bragging rights to their friends.
[will be posting shore shots soon]
